A single wall in gorgeous wallpaper could be a unique – even outrageous – statement
How brave are you? This is not a question you usually have to ask when considering wallcoverings. But if you’re thinking about a ‘feature wall’ in your home, then you definitely need courage.
A feature wall should give a bold focus and can be one that is covered with wallpaper while the other three are left plain. It could – and should – be outrageous, and since you are papering only one wall, means you can change a room quickly and fairly cheaply.
As Sandra Field of i.e… wallpaper says; ‘You can give a room a whole new look for less than the price of a new dress’
The first step is to choose which wall. Field advises picking the wall with the least stuff on it or against it. That way it will make the most impact. ‘You don’t want to clutter it with furniture and artwork’ she says.
The fun bit is deciding on design. One of the hottest trends is huge retro sixties and seventies patterns. i.e… wallpaper has a beautiful range of retro inspired designs by Alexander Gomez for £90 a roll; sound heart stopping, but you are only doing one wall. Or why not commission your own: i.e… wallpaper will produce wallpaper from a repeat of any image you want for £75 per metre.
